AGAR Coffee Two Step Stain Remover is a professional two-component peroxide treatment formulated for persistent instant-coffee dye, tea, red-wine and food-dye stains. The system combines an alkaline surfactant solution with a hydrogen peroxide component and is intended for use on compatible carpets, fabrics and selected hard surfaces. CLEANING CHEMICALSSome beverage stains are difficult to remove with conventional carpet spotters because their colouring agents penetrate and remain within carpet fibres and upholstery. AGAR Coffee Stain Remover Part A and Part B form a specialised two-part peroxide treatment designed to tackle persistent brown food dyes and other difficult stains on suitable carpets, fabrics and selected hard-floor surfaces.
Instant coffee can contain brown food dyes that leave persistent golden-brown marks on fabric and carpet. AGAR Coffee Stain Remover is formulated to attack these dyes rather than simply loosen surface soil. It is also useful for treating tea, red wine and food-dye stains, making it a specialist option for professional carpet cleaning and restoration. For stains caused by pure, brewed coffee, AGAR recommends its TANNEX carpet spotter instead.
Part A is an alkaline solution containing surfactants, while Part B is an aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution. When the two liquids are combined in equal proportions, they produce a reactive peroxide stain-treatment mixture that helps break down persistent colouring agents.
The system is supplied as liquids, so there are no powders to dissolve. AGAR describes the product as a safety bleach that does not attack most water-resistant fabric dyes; however, colourfastness testing is essential before application. <Cite refs={[“turn431967view0″,”turn431967view1″,”turn982618view0”]}/>
The treatment is designed for carpets, washable fabrics, fabric upholstery, wood floors and stone floors, subject to material compatibility. Marble and limestone surfaces should be tested before treatment. AGAR also warns that the mixture is highly reactive and must be kept away from metal surfaces. <Cite refs={[“turn431967view0″,”turn982618view0”]}/>
Mix equal volumes of Part A and Part B in an open plastic or glass container. The reaction releases oxygen bubbles, so the prepared mixture must never be stored in a closed bottle, jar or spray gun. Do not use metal spoons or containers. Apply the prepared solution to the stain according to AGAR’s instructions, avoiding over-wetting, and rinse and extract the treated area afterwards. <Cite refs={[“turn982618view0”]}/>

Part B contains 30% hydrogen peroxide and is classified as a hazardous oxidising and corrosive substance. It can cause severe skin burns and eye damage. Follow both components’ Safety Data Sheets, wear the specified chemical-resistant gloves and protective clothing, and use suitable eye and face protection. Never mix the treatment with other chemicals.
