🔥 Professional Thermal Fogging Solution for Smoke & Soot Odour Control

Actichem Odourtak SV is a professional solvent-based odour neutralising solution specifically engineered for thermal fogging during fire and smoke restoration. Powered by Actichem’s Elimotech odour-control chemistry, it is designed to neutralise stubborn smoke and soot odours at a molecular level rather than simply masking them with fragrance.

The formulation is particularly useful after fires where smoke particles and odour molecules have penetrated into porous materials, hidden cavities and difficult-to-access areas. Thermal fogging creates very fine droplets that follow the pathways taken by smoke, helping the treatment reach areas that may be difficult to treat through conventional surface cleaning alone.

🧪 What This Product Does

Odourtak SV is designed to provide deep-reaching smoke and soot odour neutralisation during professional fire-restoration work. Its molecular odour-pairing technology reacts with malodour molecules and converts them into inert, non-reversible compounds, helping provide more effective odour treatment than simple fragrance masking.

The solvent-based formulation is intended for non-inhabited areas and is especially suited to difficult restoration environments such as attics, sub-floors and stripped-out buildings.

🌫️ How Thermal Fogging Works

Thermal fogging converts the Odourtak SV solution into extremely fine droplets that can follow pathways similar to smoke particles. This allows the treatment to reach micropores, concealed cavities and porous materials where smoke odours can remain trapped.

✅ Specialist Smoke & Soot Odour Control

Actichem Odourtak SV is a specialist restoration product designed to tackle persistent smoke and soot odours that remain after fire incidents. Its combination of molecular odour neutralisation, thermal fogging performance and deep penetration makes it particularly valuable for professional fire-restoration contractors dealing with difficult odour contamination.

⚠️ Important Safety Information

Odourtak SV is classified with the signal word DANGER. Suitable protective clothing and respiratory protection are required during application, with Actichem specifying appropriate organic-vapour respiratory filters. Always read the current SDS before use, ensure the area is unoccupied during treatment, and follow the manufacturer’s ventilation and re-entry requirements.

How to Use

  1. Prepare the area – Ensure the treatment area is unoccupied and remove or cover food, food equipment and items that may be affected by the solvent.
  2. Do not dilute – Odourtak SV is supplied ready to use and should not be mixed with other chemicals.
  3. Calculate the room volume before treatment to determine the required product quantity.
  4. Use suitable thermal fogging equipment to apply the product at approximately 0.5–1.5 mL per m³ of room volume.
  5. Apply throughout the affected area so the fine fog can penetrate porous materials and concealed spaces where smoke odours may remain.
  6. Close the treated area and keep it unoccupied for at least 30 minutes after fogging.
  7. Ventilate thoroughly for at least 1 hour before allowing people to re-enter.
  8. Select the correct variant according to the fire source: Citrus for protein, paper and timber fires; Floral for plastic and synthetic-material fires.
