Actichem Power Strip

Professional Heavy-Duty Floor Coatings Stripper for Difficult Finish Removal

Actichem Power Strip is a professional heavy-duty floor coatings stripper developed for removing tough solvent-based coatings, base sealers, polish build-up and burnished floor finishes. Its powerful formulation quickly softens and emulsifies aged, worn and discoloured coatings, helping professional cleaners and floor-care specialists reduce the time and effort required for difficult stripping operations.

Designed for demanding commercial and restoration applications, Power Strip is particularly effective where conventional stripping products may struggle with heavy coating accumulation and UHS burnished finishes. Actichem describes it as a fast-acting, labour-saving stripper that begins liquefying coatings on contact, allowing the softened coating to be mechanically agitated and removed more efficiently.

🔄 Professional Floor Restoration

For effective stripping, the floor should first be swept thoroughly before Power Strip is applied liberally with a cotton mop. Work in small, controllable areas and allow at least 5 minutes of dwell time, ensuring the solution does not dry on the surface. The softened coating can then be agitated using a low-speed rotary scrubber or auto-scrubber fitted with an appropriate stripping pad.

After agitation, recover the resulting slurry and rinse the floor thoroughly with clean water to remove remaining stripper and coating residues. Allow the floor to dry completely before beginning the next stage of the restoration or refinishing process.

⭐ Why Choose Power Strip?

For professional floor-care teams dealing with heavy polish build-up, tough solvent sealers and burnished coatings, Actichem Power Strip provides a powerful stripping solution designed to improve coating-removal efficiency while reducing labour-intensive scrubbing.

How to Use

  1. Prepare the floor: Sweep thoroughly to remove loose dirt and debris. Pre-test Power Strip on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.
  2. Dilute the product: Dilute Power Strip with water according to the coating build-up. Use approximately 1:4 for heavy build-up and difficult UHS coatings, and up to 1:10 for lighter coating build-up.
  3. Apply: Apply the diluted solution liberally using a clean cotton mop. Work in small, manageable areas to maintain control of the stripping process.
  4. Allow dwell time: Allow the solution to work for at least 5 minutes. Do not allow it to dry on the floor.
  5. Agitate: Mechanically agitate the softened coating using a low-speed rotary scrubber or auto-scrubber fitted with a suitable stripping pad.
  6. Recover the slurry: Pick up the dissolved coating and stripping solution using a suitable wet vacuum or recovery system.
  7. Rinse thoroughly: Rinse the floor with clean water to remove remaining stripper and coating residues. A second rinse may be required where heavy build-up has been removed.
  8. Prepare for refinishing: Allow the floor to dry completely before applying a new sealer, polish or floor finish.

Important: Power Strip is not recommended for vinyl, linoleum or timber/wood flooring. Always follow the current manufacturer instructions and SDS, and use appropriate PPE during application.
