The Citrus variant is part of Actichem’s Deofresh range, which is designed for tough odour control, routine deodorisation and fragrance boosting of cleaning solutions. It can be used directly on odour sources, added to compatible prespray and extraction detergents, or applied as a post-treatment after cleaning.
Deofresh works by targeting odour-causing bacteria while leaving behind a fresh Citrus fragrance. It is suitable for water-cleanable carpet fibres, including natural fibres, and is also suitable for wool and upholstery. Actichem also specifies it for use on 5th-generation stain-resistant nylon carpets, making it useful where severe odours need to be treated without relying on quat-based sanitisers that can affect stain-resistant treatments.

The official Actichem SDS identifies DEOFRESH CITRUS as AP430, with 5 L and 20 L pack sizes and its relevant identified use as a carpet deodorizer.
For routine deodorisation, Actichem specifies 40–80 mL per 10 L of water or ready-to-use cleaning solution. For fire and flood restoration, the recommended rate is 100–200 mL per 10 L of water. Severe odours on 5th-generation stain-resistant carpet can be treated at 20 mL per litre of water. Apply directly to the odour source and allow at least 5 minutes’ dwell time. Stronger-than-1:100 applications should be rinsed using standard cleaning techniques.
Always pre-test in an inconspicuous area before use. Do not mix Deofresh with other deodorisers, sanitisers or Actichem PolyProp Plus. Always follow the manufacturer’s directions and consult the SDS for handling and safety requirements.
