🏢 Professional Floor-Care Performance

Instaglaze is particularly well suited to commercial and retail environments where floors experience frequent pedestrian traffic and require consistent gloss and durability. Its high-solids formulation allows professional cleaners to build a durable finish through multiple thin coats rather than relying on one heavy application.

Actichem recommends 3–5 coats, depending on floor porosity and expected traffic. Where Instaseal is used as a base coat, 2–3 coats of Instaglaze are generally required. Each coat should be allowed to dry for approximately 30–40 minutes before the next application, with at least 12 hours allowed before returning the floor to normal use.

For ongoing maintenance, Actichem recommends ProNeutro neutral cleaner and regular buffing using Instabuff or Instabuff Super with an appropriate floor pad and polishing machine.

With its deep-gloss appearance, high-solids acrylic technology, UHS burnishing compatibility, durability and slip-resistant performance, Actichem Instaglaze provides a professional solution for maintaining attractive, hard-wearing commercial floors.

How to Use

  1. Prepare the floor – Remove all loose dirt and debris. Thoroughly clean the floor and remove any existing finish or residue where required. Allow the surface to dry completely.
  2. Pre-test – Test Instaglaze in an inconspicuous area to confirm compatibility and the desired appearance.
  3. Prepare the base – For suitable stone and polished concrete surfaces, Actichem recommends using Instaseal as a base coat to improve adhesion before applying Instaglaze.
  4. Use undiluted – Instaglaze is supplied ready to use. Do not dilute.
  5. Apply the first coat – Apply a thin, even coat using a suitable clean finish applicator. Avoid excessive product application and prevent puddling.
  6. Allow to dry – Allow approximately 30–40 minutes drying time between coats, depending on conditions.
  7. Apply additional coats – Apply approximately 3–5 thin coats, depending on floor porosity and expected traffic. Where Instaseal is used as the base coat, 2–3 coats of Instaglaze are generally required.
  8. Allow final curing – After the final coat, allow adequate drying and curing before normal foot traffic. Actichem recommends approximately 12 hours before returning the floor to normal use.
  9. Burnish when appropriate – Once adequately cured, use a suitable ultra-high-speed (UHS) floor machine and appropriate pad to develop and maintain the high-gloss finish.
  10. Ongoing maintenance – Maintain the finished floor using a suitable neutral floor cleaner such as Actichem ProNeutro. Regular spray buffing/burnishing with an appropriate maintenance product can help restore gloss and extend the finish life.

Important: Always follow the current Actichem product instructions and SDS. Floor condition, porosity, temperature, humidity and traffic levels can affect drying and the number of coats required.
