Actichem Instastrip

Professional Heavy-Duty Floor Stripper for Finish & Coating Removal

Actichem Instastrip is a professional heavy-duty total floor stripper developed to remove accumulated polish, wax, sealers and UHS burnished finishes from resilient and hard flooring. Its powerful formulation quickly softens and emulsifies worn, aged and discoloured floor coatings, helping professional cleaning teams simplify difficult stripping operations and prepare floors for restoration or recoating.

Designed for use with powered scrubbing machinery, Instastrip provides an economical solution for routine floor-coating removal as well as heavier restoration work. Its low-foaming formulation helps minimise foam-related issues during mechanical cleaning, while its fast-acting chemistry reduces the amount of intensive scrubbing required. Actichem also describes the formulation as low odour, without harsh ammonia fumes or high-VOC solvents.

  • Polish and floor-finish build-up
  • Wax residues
  • Floor sealers
  • Aged and discoloured finishes

  • Accumulated maintenance coatings

The product is suitable for vinyl, linoleum and most resilient floors, with Actichem also listing natural stone, ceramic and porcelain, concrete and masonry, and rubber among its current surface categories.

🔄 Professional Floor Restoration

For light coating build-up, Actichem recommends diluting Instastrip at approximately 1:10, while heavy build-up and UHS burnished coatings can be treated at approximately 1:4. The diluted solution is applied liberally with a cotton mop, working in manageable areas. After a minimum 5-minute dwell time, the coating is mechanically agitated using a low-speed rotary scrubber or auto-scrubber fitted with a suitable stripping pad.

The resulting slurry should be picked up and the floor thoroughly rinsed with clean water to remove remaining stripper and coating residues. Once completely dry, the floor can proceed to the next stage of restoration, sealing or finishing.

⭐ Why Choose Instastrip?

For professional cleaners and floor-care contractors dealing with worn finishes, heavy polish build-up, wax residues and UHS coatings, Actichem Instastrip provides a powerful and economical stripping solution.

Its combination of fast action, low foam, low odour, versatile resilient-floor compatibility and labour-saving performance makes Instastrip a practical choice for commercial floor restoration and routine coating-removal programs.

How to Use

  1. Prepare the floor: Sweep or vacuum the floor thoroughly to remove loose dirt and debris. Pre-test Instastrip on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.
  2. Dilute the product: Dilute Instastrip with clean water according to the level of coating build-up:
    • 1:10 for light coating build-up.
    • 1:4 for heavy build-up and difficult UHS burnished coatings.
  3. Apply: Apply the diluted solution liberally with a clean cotton mop. Work in small, manageable areas to prevent the solution from drying.
  4. Allow dwell time: Allow the solution to work for at least 5 minutes. Do not allow it to dry on the floor.
  5. Agitate: Mechanically scrub the softened coating using a low-speed rotary scrubber or auto-scrubber fitted with a suitable stripping pad.
  6. Remove slurry: Pick up the dissolved floor coating and stripping solution using a suitable wet vacuum or recovery system.
  7. Rinse: Thoroughly rinse the floor with clean water to remove remaining stripper and coating residues. Repeat the rinse if necessary.
  8. Prepare for refinishing: Allow the floor to dry completely before applying a new floor sealer, polish or finish.

Important: Do not use Instastrip on sealed timber floors. Always follow the current manufacturer’s instructions, SDS and appropriate PPE requirements before use.
