CLEANING CHEMICALSMaintaining carpets in busy commercial environments requires an effective cleaning method that refreshes their appearance without lengthy drying periods. AGAR Bonnet Cleaner 5L is a concentrated, water-based carpet detergent developed for the rotary bonnet cleaning method. Its fast-reacting formulation releases soil from carpet fibres, allowing absorbent bonnet pads to collect dirt, oils and everyday surface contamination during cleaning.
Bonnet Cleaner contains a specially developed blend of surfactants, sequestrants, solvents and fibre-conditioning agents. These ingredients work together to loosen accumulated soil and help transfer contamination from carpet fibres to the bonnet pad. This makes the product particularly useful for maintaining carpets between deeper extraction cleans.
The product is designed for use with a compatible slow-speed rotary machine and an absorbent bonnet pad. The cleaning solution is applied to the carpet or bonnet, allowing the damp bonnet to collect loosened soil as it moves across the carpet surface. This method is well suited to lightly and moderately soiled carpets in commercial environments.
One of the main advantages of Bonnet Cleaner is its fast-drying performance. Under suitable conditions, cleaned commercial carpets can usually return to service within approximately one hour, helping minimise disruption in offices, hotels and other occupied facilities. Its free-rinsing formulation also helps leave minimal detergent residue on carpet fibres.
Bonnet Cleaner is suitable for a wide variety of carpet types. However, care is necessary with certain cut-pile and coarse loop-pile carpets, where rotary action may distort the pile. For heavily soiled carpets, hot water extraction is the preferred method to ensure more complete soil removal.
The concentrated formulation is water-based, with a pleasant fresh floral fragrance and a pH of 8.5–9.5. It contains biodegradable surfactants, has no added phosphates and is non-flammable. The product also contains no cationic surfactants or optical brighteners, making it a practical choice for professional carpet-maintenance programs.
Bonnet Cleaner complies with AS/NZS 3733, the Australian/New Zealand standard for carpet cleaning systems.
