CLEANING CHEMICALS✨ Restore worn floors with AGAR STR-36!
AGAR STR-36 is a super-concentrated floor stripper developed to remove hardened water-based floor sealers, acrylic polish, wax films and stubborn coating build-ups. Its powerful stripping action helps prepare floors for recoating, reducing the need for repeated stripping and excessive mechanical scrubbing.
STR-36 penetrates old, cured floor finishes and loosens thick polish layers, semi-permanent sealer basecoats and accumulated edge build-ups. Its strong cleaning action helps dissolve stubborn coatings so they can be collected and rinsed away. This makes it particularly useful where conventional floor strippers struggle to remove aged or heavily layered finishes.
This low-foaming stripper is designed for vinyl, terrazzo, marble, ceramic tiles and quarry tiles. It leaves compatible floors stripped and ready for a new protective finish. STR-36 is not recommended for rubber flooring. For linoleum and timber floors, AGAR specifies a dilution of at least 1 part product in 20 parts water. Always test an inconspicuous area before beginning a stripping project.
For heavy coating build-ups, dilute 1 part STR-36 in 4 parts cold water. For normal stripping, use 1 part in 8 parts cold water. Apply generously with a mop and allow 5–10 minutes for activation, keeping the floor wet. Scrub using a black or emerald pad fitted to a slow-speed floor machine. Collect the resulting slurry and rinse the floor three times with clean water. For porous floors, AGAR recommends adding vinegar or Neutralizer to the middle rinse.

How to Use:
1. Read the current product label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.
2. Wear chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing and suitable eye or face protection. STR-36 is corrosive and can cause severe skin burns and eye damage.
3. For general stripping, dilute 1 part STR-36 in 8 parts cold water.
4. For heavy coating build-ups, dilute 1 part STR-36 in 4 parts cold water.
5. For linoleum or timber floors, use a dilution of 1 part product in 20 parts water. Test an inconspicuous area first.
6. Do not use STR-36 on rubber floors. Avoid splashing the solution onto painted surfaces or allowing it to run onto timber or carpet.
7. Mop the diluted solution evenly over the floor and allow 5–10 minutes for it to activate.
8. Keep the floor wet throughout the process. Do not allow the stripping solution to dry on the surface.
9. Scrub the floor using a black or emerald stripping pad fitted to a slow-speed floor machine. Pay extra attention to edges with thick sealer build-up.
10. Mop up or wet-vacuum the loosened polish, sealer and stripping solution.
11. Rinse the floor three times with clean water to remove remaining stripper and dissolved coatings.
12. For porous floors, AGAR recommends adding its Neutraliser to the middle rinse.
13. Allow the floor to dry completely before applying a new floor sealer or polish.
AGAR STR-36 is a concentrated floor stripper that removes hardened water-based sealers, acrylic polish and wax coatings before a new floor finish is applied.
Use 1:8 with cold water for general stripping and 1:4 for heavy build-ups. For linoleum or timber, use 1:20. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the specific floor type.
No. AGAR does not recommend STR-36 for rubber flooring. Avoid using it on restricted surfaces and always check compatibility before starting work.
