CLEANING CHEMICALSAGAR Grill Clean is a professional concentrated alkaline cleaner developed for removing heavy fat, grease, carbon and burnt-on food residues from commercial cooking equipment. Designed for demanding food-service environments, its fast-acting formulation helps break down stubborn cooking deposits so they can be loosened, scrubbed and rinsed away efficiently.
Grill Clean contains caustic potash, which rapidly attacks fats and burnt-on protein residues. Its selected surfactants work alongside the alkaline chemistry to disperse and emulsify fatty, oily, proteinaceous and carbon residues, allowing contaminated surfaces to be rinsed clean after treatment.
Grill Clean is designed specifically for ovens, grills, hotplates, deep fryers and barbecues, making it suitable for both commercial kitchens and outdoor barbecue equipment. AGAR identifies the product as excellent on steel, stainless steel and enamel surfaces.
Its concentrated formulation is particularly useful where cooking equipment has accumulated baked-on grease, carbonised food and heavy protein residues that require more than routine detergent cleaning.

For ovens, AGAR recommends preheating to approximately 60°C, switching the oven off, applying neat Grill Clean with the AGAR-supplied squirt bottle, and allowing approximately 5 minutes for activation. Carbon residues can then be loosened with a stiff brush or scraper before wiping and thoroughly rinsing with clean water.
For grills and hotplates, the equipment should be switched off and allowed to cool for approximately 5 minutes while remaining warm. After scraping loose food residues, apply Grill Clean neat and leave wet for approximately 10–15 minutes, then scrub, wipe and rinse thoroughly with potable water. AGAR also provides a specific 40 mL per litre of water procedure for deep-fryer cleaning.
Grill Clean is a corrosive chemical. Appropriate gloves, protective clothing and eye/face protection should be worn. Do not apply to aluminium or painted surfaces; if accidentally applied to aluminium, rinse thoroughly with water before the product dries.
For professional cleaners, restaurants, hotels, catering operations and commercial kitchens, AGAR Grill Clean provides powerful, fast-acting removal of grease, fat, carbon and burnt-on food residues from demanding cooking equipment.

Important: Grill Clean contains caustic alkaline chemistry and is classified as corrosive. Wear suitable protective gloves, clothing and eye/face protection. Do not use on aluminium or painted surfaces. Always follow AGAR’s current PDS and SDS before use.
It’s suitable for stainless steel, cast iron, and enamel surfaces. Avoid use on aluminium or painted areas.

It works best in soft to moderately hard water. In areas with very hard water, use slightly higher dilution or softened water.
For busy kitchens, daily or after each service ensures optimal hygiene and prevents heavy build-up of grease and carbon.
