AGAR Autobrite is a specialised wash-and-polish detergent that removes routine floor soilage while replenishing the surface with a thin film of acrylic polish. Designed for damp mopping, compatible autoscrubbing and spray-buffing, it helps clean floors and maintain an attractive shine in one convenient operation.
Autobrite uses detergent compounds to loosen and emulsify dirt, grease and everyday marks. As the cleaned surface dries, polish components adhere to the floor and form a light protective film. With regular use, this can help build a glossy finish and refresh the appearance of floors during routine maintenance.
AGAR identifies Autobrite for vinyl, timber, terrazzo, quarry tile and ceramic-tile floors. It is particularly recommended for unsealed floors, where its polish components can leave a fresh micro-film. For floors already sealed with AGAR polish, the manufacturer recommends Scrub’N’Shine instead. Always check floor compatibility and test an inconspicuous area before use.
After damp mopping or autoscrubbing, allow the floor to dry before buffing to enhance the shine. Autobrite can also be used as a quick spray-buff solution: apply a light mist to a small area and buff until dry. It is intended for slow- to medium-speed buffing, not ultra-high-speed burnishing above 1200 rpm.
For damp mopping or autoscrubbing, dilute 1 part Autobrite in 40–80 parts water. Once dry, buff at 200–1200 rpm. For spray-buffing, dilute 1 part in 15–50 parts water according to soilage and the desired gloss. Spray lightly over about one square metre, buff until dry, then continue section by section and dust-mop the floor.

2. For damp mopping or automatic floor scrubbing, dilute 1 part Autobrite in 40–80 parts water.
3. Prepare the solution in a suitable mop bucket or compatible floor-cleaning machine.
4. Apply the prepared solution evenly using a mop or automatic floor scrubber to remove routine floor soilage.
5. Allow the floor to dry completely before buffing.
6. Buff the dried floor using a compatible machine operating between 200 and 1200 rpm to produce a high shine.
7. For spray-buffing, dilute 1 part Autobrite in 15–50 parts water, depending on soilage and the desired gloss.
8. Apply a light mist over approximately one square metre of floor using a suitable spray bottle.
9. Buff the treated area until dry, then repeat the process section by section across the floor.
10. Dust-mop after spray-buffing to remove dust and dirt remaining around edges.
11. Do not use ultra-high-speed buffing equipment operating above 1200 rpm.
12. Follow the flooring manufacturer's care instructions and test compatibility before treating unfamiliar surfaces.
